What this service is

From a single logo to a year of design support.

Graphic design at Kanyon Studio covers the full range of brand visual touchpoints — logo design, marketing collateral (business cards, lookbooks, trade-show banners, retail signage), packaging design, social ad templates, and ongoing graphic design hours through a monthly retainer.

The vertical focus is outdoor, adventure, apparel, lifestyle, and direct-to-consumer brands. The studio’s graphic design integrates directly with photography, video, and brand identity work — so every asset shares the same visual DNA across web, social, packaging, retail, and ads.

If a brand needs a complete identity system from scratch (logo + color + type + photography style + voice), the broader Brand Identity service is a better fit. This page is for brands that need targeted graphic design output — a logo refresh, a packaging update, a campaign collateral set, or ongoing design hours.

Graphic design FAQ

Answers before the call.

Graphic design vs. brand identity — what’s the difference?
Graphic design is targeted output: a logo refresh, a packaging update, a campaign collateral set, or ongoing design hours. Brand identity is the full visual system: logo, color palette, typography, photography style, voice, and applied design across every customer touchpoint. Brands launching a new identity from scratch should use the Brand Identity service. Brands that need specific design assets should use this Graphic Design service.
How does graphic design pricing work in San Diego?
Pricing depends on deliverable scope and complexity. Kanyon Studio offers four tiers — Logo Mark (standalone logo), Collateral Set (3 marketing pieces), Packaging Pack (single SKU packaging), and Design Retainer (ongoing monthly hours, 3-month minimum). Each project gets a custom quote.
Can you design just one piece, like a single hangtag or banner?
Yes. Standalone single-piece design is available as an a-la-carte project. Quotes scale with file complexity, print specs, and revision rounds. Submit a brief through Contact for a same-day quote.
Do you handle print files for outdoor brand packaging?
Yes. Print-ready deliverables include CMYK + spot color specs, dielines, bleed, and final mockups. Files are sent in printer-ready formats (PDF/X-1a, AI, EPS) and can be coordinated directly with the brand’s preferred printer or one of Kanyon Studio’s recommended print partners.
What’s included in the Design Retainer?
Up to 12 design hours per month, allocated flexibly across logos, collateral, social ads, packaging tweaks, retail signage, and any other graphic design needs. 48-hour response time on requests. 3-month minimum, then month-to-month.
Will the same designer also shoot the photography or build my website?
Yes. Kanyon is the creative director on all Kanyon Studio projects — photography, video, brand identity, web design, and graphic design. Most clients book combinations (graphic design + photography, brand identity + web, etc.) so the visual system stays cohesive across every touchpoint.
How do I start a graphic design project?
Submit a brief through Contact describing what needs to be designed, the brand’s current state, and the timeline. A free 30-minute call is the next step. Quote, timeline, and deposit invoice arrive within 24 hours after the call.
