What this service is

One creative director. One visual system. Every touchpoint of the brand.

Kanyon Studio delivers brand identity design that ranges from a single logo for a new product line to a complete visual system covering logo, color palette, typography, packaging, web design assets, and marketing collateral. The vertical focus is the same as the rest of the studio: outdoor, adventure, apparel, lifestyle, and direct-to-consumer.

The advantage of having brand design and brand photography under one creative director: the identity system is built knowing how the brand will be photographed, and the photography is shot knowing how the brand identity needs to render.

Most San Diego brands hire a graphic designer for the logo, a different photographer for the imagery, and a third agency for the website — and the three never talk. The output looks like three different brands wearing the same name. Kanyon Studio collapses that into one.

Brand identity FAQ

Answers before the call.

How does logo design pricing work in San Diego?
Logo design pricing is determined by scope: standalone logo, logo plus brand foundation, or full brand system with packaging and collateral. Logo-only is most appropriate for a single product line; brands launching a new identity usually book the Brand Starter or Full Brand System.
What is brand identity vs. logo design?
Logo design is one element — the visual mark of a brand. Brand identity is the full visual system: logo, color palette, typography, photography style, packaging, voice, and applied design across every customer touchpoint.
How long does brand identity design take?
A standalone Logo Mark project takes 7 days. A Brand Starter takes 14 days. A Full Brand System takes 21 days. Timelines assume a 48-hour client review cycle on each round.
What’s included in a brand identity package?
Brand Starter includes the logo system (primary + monogram), full color palette, typography system, brand guidelines PDF, and a designed business card. Full Brand System adds a photography style guide, packaging design for one SKU, three marketing collateral pieces, and a Figma component library.
Does Kanyon Studio do packaging design?
Yes. Packaging design is included in the Full Brand System tier and is available as a standalone project for existing brands. Deliverables include print-ready dielines, CMYK + spot color specs, hangtag design, label design, and final mockups.
Can I just get a logo without full brand identity?
Yes. The standalone Logo Mark package is exactly that. However, brands that book logo-only often return within 6 months for a brand system because a logo without a color/type/asset system makes consistent branding hard to execute on web, social, and packaging.
What file formats do you deliver?
Final deliverables include vector files (SVG, EPS, AI), raster (PNG with transparency), brand guidelines PDF, and a Figma source file. Print files include CMYK + bleed + dielines. Web files include all logo variations sized for retina displays and a favicon set.
Will the brand designer also build my website?
Yes. Kanyon Studio offers web design across Webflow (preferred), Shopify, Wix, and Squarespace, integrating the brand identity directly into whichever platform fits the business. Most clients booking a Full Brand System also book a website build at the same time, quoted as a combined project.
How do you handle revisions?
Each tier includes 3 revision rounds on the chosen direction. Additional revisions beyond the included rounds are quoted hourly. Most projects don’t need extra rounds — the 2-direction discovery phase usually surfaces alignment before design begins.
How do I start a brand identity project?
Submit a brief through Book a Shoot describing the brand, current state of branding, and what's needed. A free 45-minute discovery call is the next step. Project quote, timeline, and deposit invoice arrive within 24 hours after the discovery call.
